Electrical Apprentice Required In Canada

An opportunity is now open for a motivated Electrical Apprentice or Junior Shop Assistant to join our Saskatoon team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has an interest in electrical systems, and thrives in a shop environment. You’ll support day-to-day operations by assisting with electrical testing, wiring, mechanical assembly, cleaning, and sandblasting. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with assembling and disassembling a variety of mechanical components.
  • Clean parts and ensure they are prepared for repair, testing, or reassembly.
  • Keep the shop floor well-organized, tidy, and safe.
  • Sandblast mechanical parts as required.
  • Support electrical testing and basic wiring under guidance.
  • Maintain a high standard of organization, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
  • Communicate with customers in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Identify opportunities to improve shop processes and workflows.

Qualifications

  • Electrical knowledge or enrollment in an electrical apprenticeship is an asset.
  • Mechanically inclined, with familiarity using basic mechanical tools.
  • Strong time management abilities and the capacity to handle multiple tasks.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Problem-solving mindset and confidence working independently when required.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
