Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Electrical and Fixed Plant Foreman, you will be the electrical expert ensuring the reliability and safety of our surface operations. Your key duties will include:

  • Maintaining the electrical operations of the site’s Processing Mill and other surface areas, ensuring compliance with AS-NZS 3000 and Electrical Safety Regulations.
  • Performing both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs on electrical systems and fixed plant equipment.
  • Executing electrical installation work, scoping issues, raising notifications, and carrying out HV (High Voltage) switching and maintenance operations.
  • Troubleshooting complex faults, including assisting with SCADA-PLC issues (Allen Bradley platforms preferred) to support continuous plant operation.
  • Proactively identifying, controlling, and reporting hazards to maintain an incident-free work environment.
  • Working effectively with minimal supervision within a small, collaborative team.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified professional with substantial hands-on experience. You must possess:

  • A current Victorian “A” Grade Electrical Licence.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in mining and-or heavy industrial electrical work, with proven expertise in reactive breakdowns and commissioning within fixed plant environments.
  • Essential skills in interpreting PLC programs (Allen Bradley preferred) for fault-finding purposes.
  • A current Victorian Driver’s Licence, excellent safety awareness, and strong communication skills.
  • High Voltage Operator experience is required; formal HV Operator certification is preferred.
  • Competency with Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, and industrial communication protocols is highly advantageous.
