- Clean resident rooms, offices, toilets, and dining areas thoroughly.
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Use commercial cleaning products safely and effectively.
- Operate floor buffers and high-pressure hoses with skill.
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a healthy environment.
- Keep accurate records of completed cleaning tasks.
- Store cleaning materials and equipment securely after use.
- Report safety, security, or damage issues to the manager promptly.
- Liaise with the Stores Officer for cleaning supply needs.
- Maintain a tidy and organized work area daily.
- Adhere to Queensland Government’s safety and hygiene policies.
- Support cultural inclusivity in line with the Human Rights Act 2019.
- Work rostered day shifts with flexibility as needed.
- Assist with deep cleaning during scheduled maintenance.
- Promote a safe and productive workplace for all staff.
Requirements
Education
High school certificate or equivalent preferred.
Experience
1–2 years in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred.
