Responsibilities

  • Put together moulds from kit forms in a well-equipped shop.
  • Tweak and adjust moulds using detailed plans and drawings.
  • Measure, cut, and fit components to match precise standards.
  • Use hand and power tools safely to get the job done.
  • Double-check finished moulds to ensure they’re up to scratch.
  • Keep the workshop clean, safe, and ready for work.
  • Lend a hand to teammates to meet project deadlines.
  • Read technical plans to guide accurate mould building.
  • Handle heavy materials and physically demanding tasks.
  • Stick to workplace safety rules every shift.
  • Flag any issues with tools or supplies right away.
  • Offer ideas to make the workshop run smoother.
  • Set up moulds for precast concrete production.
  • Start work at 5:30am, Monday to Friday, with early knock-offs.
  • Work with the crew to maintain high craftsmanship standards.

Requirements

Education

Trade Certificate in Carpentry (like Certificate III in Carpentry) or equivalent required. Extra training in formwork or safety is a plus.

Experience

2-5 years doing carpentry, especially in formwork, mould building, or precast concrete.

Skills

  • Strong knack for reading and following technical plans.
  • Skilled with carpentry tools, both hand and power.
  • Physical strength to handle labour-heavy tasks.
