Key Responsibilities
As the Team Leader for our Construction crew, you will be responsible for guiding and managing day-to-day operations to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects. Your key duties will include:
- Supervising, leading, and mentoring a construction team to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
- Assisting with the planning, programming, and estimating of civil construction and maintenance projects.
- Implementing works in accordance with project plans, council standards, and all relevant safety and traffic management protocols.
- Fostering a positive, safety-first, and collaborative team environment on-site.
- Contributing to the efficient use of resources and providing clear, accurate reporting on project progress.
Qualifications
To be successful in this leadership role, you will need:
- A current Queensland Class ‘C’ Driver’s Licence (a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence is highly regarded).
- A current QLD Construction White Card or Blue Card (General Safety Induction Card).
- Proven experience in a civil construction or similar field, with demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.
- While not mandatory, candidates with Traffic Management qualifications (Implement Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Controller Competence) will be highly regarded.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused attitude.
