You will be part of a specialist case mix in a well-equipped environment, starting in January 2026.
Key Responsibilities
You will be an integral part of our theatre team, ensuring smooth and safe perioperative care for our day surgery patients.
- Providing skilled scrub and circulating nursing care across a range of specialist day surgery procedures.
- Working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Preparing and maintaining the theatre environment, equipment, and instrumentation to the highest standards.
- Delivering exceptional patient care and support throughout the perioperative journey.
- Contributing to a positive, efficient, and safety-focused theatre culture.
- Being flexible to occasionally cover additional hours or annual leave for colleagues.
Qualifications You Bring
To be successful in this specialised role, you will need:
- Current New Zealand Nursing Registration and a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
- A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in a theatre setting, with confidence in both scrub and circulating roles.
- A calm, adaptable, and proactive approach with excellent teamwork skills.
- Experience in a private hospital or day surgery setting is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to best-practice patient care.
