Key Responsibilities

You will be on the front line, ensuring the safety and performance of critical mining equipment. Your daily duties will include:

  • Performing all aspects of heavy-duty tire service, including the safe dismounting, mounting, balancing, and repairing of massive OTR tires.
  • Operating specialized tire manipulators, service trucks, and other heavy-duty equipment with expertise and care.
  • Conducting thorough tire inspections and preventative maintenance to meet strict safety and load requirements.
  • Collaborating closely with on-site mine maintenance staff to coordinate services and support operational efficiency.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in optimal condition.
  • Assisting with inventory management for tire-related parts and supplies.

Qualifications

We are seeking a safety-focused professional with the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a tire technician, with direct experience in the mining sector or on heavy equipment being a significant asset.
  • Hands-on experience with Komatsu haul trucks and/or Giant loaders with protection chains is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating tire service equipment, forklifts, and service trucks.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills for a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • The physical capability to safely perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy loads.
  • A valid driver’s license and a secondary school diploma or equivalent.
