Key Responsibilities
As the Plant Controller, you will serve as the primary financial leader on-site, ensuring the integrity and strategic value of all plant-related accounting. Your essential functions will include:
- Serving as the key financial business partner to the Plant Manager and department heads, collaborating to explain results, identify inefficiencies, manage projects, and drive operational improvements.
- Owning all product costing and maintaining accurate, fully costed bills of material for all work-in-progress and finished goods inventory.
- Managing and ensuring the accuracy of perpetual inventory records across all Texas locations (plant, warehouse).
- Preparing and analyzing daily, weekly, and monthly production and plant performance reports to provide timely, actionable metrics.
- Supporting new product development and engineering change notices (ECNs) by estimating product costs for quoting activities.
- Upholding the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, and ethical financial management
Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate who combines strong technical accounting skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization. The requirements are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3 to 5 years of related accounting experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment is essential.
- Proven expertise in product costing, inventory accounting, and financial analysis within a plant setting.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail, written and oral communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated, tactful, and possess a high degree of personal accountability and integrity.
- Ability to build consensus, work effectively with diverse teams, and maintain strict confidentiality
