Responsibilities

• Prep walls, doors, or surfaces scraping, sanding, whatever’s needed.
• Patch up any cracks or holes before applying finish.
• Mix paint to match shades or textures.
• Paint with brushes, rollers, or spray tools depending on the job.
• Apply wallpaper or fabric coverings occasionally.
• Put up scaffolds or stages when needed.
• Keep work areas clean and safe.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

High school graduation certificate required.

Experience

Between 1 and 2 years painting in construction or similar work.

Skills

• Comfortable with heights and outdoor work.
• Can bend, kneel, or crouch for long periods.
• Knows how to prep surfaces right.
• Pays attention to little things — clean lines, smooth finish.
• Able to carry about 50 lbs on site.

Knowledge

• Knows basic tools: brushes, rollers, spray guns.
