Key Responsibilities

You will be trained to operate essential equipment within a meat processing facility. Your primary duties will include:

• Safely starting up, operating, monitoring, and shutting down production machinery according to strict safety and hygiene protocols.
• Conducting changeovers on the line when switching between different meat products or packaging formats to maintain efficient workflow.
• Handling raw meat products such as beef, lamb, and pork as part of the processing and packing procedure.
• Performing basic visual checks and troubleshooting on equipment, reporting any mechanical faults promptly to the maintenance team.
• Working effectively as part of a production team to meet daily targets while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Adhering to all workplace health, safety, and food safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who are reliable and ready to learn in a unique environment. To be considered, you should have:

• Proof of full working rights in Australia is a mandatory requirement.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment is highly regarded.
• A willingness to work in a chilled processing environment (around 7 degrees Celsius) and handle raw meat products (training provided).
• Strong basic literacy and numeracy skills for following procedures and completing simple documentation.
• A team-focused attitude with good communication skills and a strong commitment to safety.
• Exposure to food handling or meat processing is beneficial but not essential, as full onsite training will be provided.
