Key Responsibilities

In this key role, you will be integral to turning innovative designs into real-world products.

  • You will take the lead in the precise assembly of electrical, mechanical, and electronic components for our advanced product lines.
  • A major part of your role involves ensuring the highest quality standards through hands-on validation testing and quality control checks.
  • You will help manage workshop resources, materials, and stock to ensure we meet production deadlines and maintain efficiency.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to more junior team members will be an important aspect of your day.
  • You will contribute to continuous process improvements and may occasionally step into project supervisory responsibilities.
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and following complex assembly processes with great attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

We are looking for a seasoned technician who combines deep experience with a collaborative spirit.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in a similar manufacturing, assembly, or technician role is required.
  • Experience working with automotive systems, automated machinery, or complex electromechanical products is highly valued.
  • You must have a strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical tolerances, and the ability to read technical drawings.
  • Excellent people skills are crucial, with a focus on supporting both internal team members and external customers.
  • You need to be highly organised, detail-oriented, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems is important, and a relevant tertiary qualification or trade certification in a mechanical or electrical field is desirable.
