The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, and supporting continuous improvement efforts to meet production output and safety goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and perform maintenance work on production equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Identify and order necessary spare parts for equipment maintenance and repair.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical systems.
- Disassemble, diagnose, and reassemble machine components to correct operational issues.
- Maintain up-to-date maintenance manuals and spare parts documentation.
- Keep detailed maintenance logs and records for reference and audits.
- Promote and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
- Ensure all safety policies, procedures, and regulations are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workplace at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical or equipment maintenance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering preferred. Equivalent experience may also be considered.
- Strong understanding of equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting equipment layouts, part drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control diagrams.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting or rebuilding valves, actuators, pumps, servo motors, stepper motors, and sensors (temperature, level, pressure, flow, etc.).
- Familiarity with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Keyence preferred).
- Proven ability to identify and correct mechanical or programming issues effectively.
- Prior experience in the semiconductor or specialty chemical industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with vendors and internal teams.
