Key Responsibilities
As a Janitor, your role is essential to maintaining a clean and comfortable facility. You will:
- Perform routine and deep cleaning duties across various facility areas.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment following established procedures.
- Operate standard and motorized janitorial equipment safely and effectively.
- Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum floors and surfaces as assigned.
- Clean restrooms, replace supplies, and dispose of waste properly.
- Wax and polish floors to maintain shine and cleanliness.
- Respond to urgent cleaning requests promptly and professionally.
- Use correct safety techniques for handling waste or chemical spills.
- Collaborate with team members and report any maintenance or safety issues.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
- The ability to read and follow written or verbal instructions.
- Physical capability to lift moderate weights, stand for long periods, and handle cleaning tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to work in varying temperatures or environments.
- A strong sense of reliability, professionalism, and teamwork.
