PPL Electric Utilities is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Support Associate to join our 3rd-shift team on a temporary basis for up to 9 months. This role focuses on handling tools, materials, and equipment efficiently within our facilities, supporting our logistics and inventory operations. Key Responsibilities
- Pick, deliver, and return tools, materials, supplies, and equipment within the worksite.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate records using hand-held barcode scanners.
- Operate hand and power tools, including small forklifts (up to 10,000 lbs.), pallet jacks, and power carts.
- Load and unload PPL and supplier vehicles, placing materials in their proper locations.
- Conduct routine yard and warehouse clean-up activities and perform local errands related to logistics.
- Substitute for Messenger duties as needed.
- Operate personal computers for employee-related tasks only, such as e-mail, training, or time entry.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license; ability to obtain licenses for operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Adequate physical strength and stamina to perform manual tasks associated with the role.
- Ability to work the 3rd shift: Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM.
- Safety-conscious with the ability to follow procedures and operate equipment responsibly.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus but not required.
