Key Responsibilities

As the Lead Maintenance Technician, you will oversee critical aspects of our plant’s equipment health and project execution. Your essential duties include:

  • Preventative Maintenance (25%): Performing and optimizing routine PM tasks, supporting Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities, and implementing key tasks into our CMMS to maximize equipment reliability and output.
  • Equipment Repair (20%): Installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery to OEM standards, including dismantling equipment and repairing facility items.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting (25%): Identifying and solving complex electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic problems using diagnostic tools, while strictly adhering to Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) safety protocols.
  • Administrative (20%): Logging all work in the CMMS (COGZ), managing work orders and parts inventory, completing shift reports, and coordinating repair schedules with other departments.
  •  Managing outside contractors for large-scale projects and assisting the engineering department with onsite contractor oversight.

Qualifications

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a robust skill set. The required qualifications are:

  • An Associate’s Degree in a related field, a Technical Certificate, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience maintaining and repairing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of electricity, mechanics, and pneumatics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Basic IT knowledge (IP addresses, routers) is highly desirable.
  • The physical ability to meet job demands, including lifting 50 lbs, standing for most of the day, and working at heights.
