Key Responsibilities
You will be central to our post-laser processing, ensuring parts are finished to exact specifications.
- Your primary duties will involve operating our extra process equipment, including press brakes for bending, edge rounders, radial arm drills, and tapping machines.
- You will perform basic routine maintenance and troubleshooting on this equipment to keep it running smoothly.
- A key part of your role is monitoring quality, checking finished parts against standards to maintain our high level of consistency.
- You will safely operate a forklift to move materials and finished products around the workshop.
- Collaborating with the laser cutting and wider team to identify workflow improvements is encouraged.
- Strict adherence to all workplace health and safety protocols is non-negotiable for everyone’s wellbeing.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented operator who is keen to learn.
- Previous experience in a machine operator or production role within a manufacturing environment is essential.
- You need a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic troubleshooting on equipment.
- A keen eye for detail and a solid commitment to both quality and safety are crucial.
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude are a must.
- You must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid forklift licence.
- The flexibility to work in our fast-paced day shift environment (Monday to Friday, with optional overtime) is required.
