Key Responsibilities

In this senior role, you will be entrusted with complex tasks and leadership duties that are critical to our project success.

• Execute the precise installation of electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, cable trays, switchgear, and control systems in industrial facilities.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts, perform routine maintenance, and swiftly rectify faulty equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation.
• Provide direct leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Electrician Apprentices, guiding their technical development and instilling a culture of safety.
• Ensure meticulous adherence to all safety codes and standards, including the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), and implement robust lockout-tagout procedures.
• Operate various construction equipment such as manlifts and zoombooms, and assist in establishing power distribution networks and grounding systems.
• Uphold all company health and safety policies, demonstrating a proactive approach to hazard identification and mitigation on every worksite.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified professional with a proven track record in industrial electrical work and a passion for mentorship.

• A valid and recognized Journeyman Electrician Certificate is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience as an electrician, with at least 2 years of specific experience working in substations.
• In-depth knowledge of the Electrical Utility Code (EUC) and Occupational Health and Safety rules.
• A valid Provincial Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to work comfortably at heights, in adverse weather, and meet pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing requirements.
• The ability and willingness to travel and work out of town on a rotational schedule is essential.
• Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
