Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor team members in HDPE liner placement.
  • Perform welding of HDPE liners using multiple techniques to ensure secure and durable joins.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications for pond lining projects.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards for liner installation.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to maintain project timelines and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of welded seams to verify structural integrity.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in proper working order.
  • Work on site safely, following all health and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of experience in HDPE liner placement.
  • Proven ability to supervise and train staff.
  • Strong background in water storage pond construction.
  • Solid understanding of quality control standards for liner installation.
  • Qualified in various HDPE welding techniques.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on site in the Canterbury region and report through the Timaru office.
