If you’re someone who doesn’t mind getting a little dirty, enjoys being outdoors, and wants to start a solid career in geotechnical fieldwork, this might be your kind of job. Tonkin + Taylor, through its specialist testing arm Geotechnics, is looking for a Field Technician in Auckland. It’s a full-time position where you’ll be out in the field, collecting soil samples, running tests, and learning how New Zealand’s infrastructure gets built from the ground up. You’ll need a full NZ driver’s license, good physical fitness, and a curious mind. A science-related qualification helps, but if you’ve got the right attitude, they’re happy to teach. You’ll be part of a hands-on team that values initiative, teamwork, and a good sense of humor.
