Key Responsibilities
You will be a key operational lead, ensuring the smooth and efficient management of repair, overhaul, and warehousing activities for vital defence assets.
- Plan and coordinate the daily workload for repair and overhaul activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and processing material returns within the Victoria Integrated Shipbuilding & Sustainment Centre (VISSC).
- Input and maintain data in enterprise resource planning (ERP) and material management systems. Generate reports to track performance metrics and assist in developing and maintaining all repair and overhaul processes and work instructions.
- Take responsibility for upholding all occupational health and safety standards within the warehouse and participate as a member of safety committees or emergency response teams.
- Identify and help implement opportunities for process improvement and participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance and excellence.
Qualifications
We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven professional with a strong background in complex warehousing.
- A minimum high school diploma and 5+ years of experience in a warehouse environment in a similar coordination or specialist role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as IFS.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and attention to detail are essential, with knowledge of warehousing, stock control, and inventory management best practices.
- Experience with Department of National Defence (DND) supply chain processes and DRMIS is a strong asset.
- You must be eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
- A Supply Chain-Logistics certification and experience operating material handling equipment (MHE) are considered assets.
