 Your Responsibilities

As a per diem EVS Tech, you will be assigned to various areas of the hospital to perform essential cleaning and support functions. Your duties will include:

  • Performing thorough cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing of patient rooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and other designated areas following hospital protocols.
  • Collecting and properly disposing of trash, soiled linens, and biohazardous materials like sharps containers.
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting assigned areas to maintain a pristine environment.
  • Operating and maintaining standard floor care equipment and cleaning tools.
  • Assisting with laundry duties as required, including sorting, washing, and folding.
  • Restocking supplies in restrooms and other service areas.
  • Adhering strictly to all infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies.

 Qualifications and Schedule Details

We are looking for individuals who understand the importance of this work. Requirements include:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • The ability to work effectively in a healthcare setting, following specific procedures with attention to detail.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • The physical capability to perform the job, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work the required per diem shifts as part of our Evening/Night POD.

Schedule and Pay Details:

  • Status: Per Diem (not benefit-eligible).
  • Shift: You may be scheduled for 8-hour shifts within the evening/night window (e.g., 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, etc.), depending on departmental need.
  • Pay: Starting base pay is $18.03 – $20.61 hr, based on experience. As a per diem employee, you will receive a +12% per diem rate on top of your base pay. Additional compensation is available for night and weekend shifts.
