Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on driving role, you’ll be essential to our daily operations. Your responsibilities will be varied and impactful:
- Safely operating both manual and automatic transmission trucks on scheduled routes.
- Performing essential physical tasks outside the vehicle, including manual handling as part of the service delivery.
- Conducting thorough daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate electronic logs via Eroad systems.
- Using onboard technology like tablets and mobile phones to manage routes and job details efficiently.
- Strictly adhering to all company and industry Health & Safety standards and practices at all times.
- Maintaining flexibility in your schedule to meet operational needs.
Qualifications
We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious individual with a proactive attitude. To be successful, you will need:
- Proven professional driving experience in trucks or vans with both manual and automatic transmissions. A Class 2 licence is a strong advantage.
- A full, clean driver’s licence. A Class 6 learner’s or full licence (for motorcycle/scooter) is highly advantageous.
- Must be physically fit and not afraid of manual labour this role involves significant work outside the vehicle.
- An honest, trustworthy nature and a willingness to learn; full training on our specific systems is provided.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
- Must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand (Citizen, Resident, or current valid Work Visa).
- Flexibility to work a minimum of 50 hours per week, including every second Saturday.
