Key Responsibilities
As a key ambassador for our brand, you will ensure our floral products arrive in perfect condition. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Safely operating a company delivery vehicle in full compliance with all MTO regulations and company safety standards.
- Completing accurate ELD logs and all required delivery documentation.
- Loading and unloading a wide variety of floral arrangements and products with care.
- Following assigned delivery routes and schedules efficiently while providing friendly, professional customer service at each stop.
- Collecting payments and processing invoices as required.
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maneuvering floral carts and operating material handling equipment like pallet trucks.
Qualifications
We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious driver with the following credentials:
- A valid Ontario G Class driver’s licence and a clean driver’s abstract (must be provided at the interview).
- A minimum of 1 full year of continuous, verifiable commercial truck driving experience (an insurance requirement).
- Strong knowledge of MTO regulations, ELD rules, and vehicle safety.
- Physical capability to perform the job demands, including lifting boxes up to 60 lbs (27 kg), climbing in/out of the truck, and operating in all weather conditions.
- Excellent customer service skills and a courteous, respectful demeanor.
- Proficiency in English (spoken, written, and read).
- Flexibility to work varied hours, with longer days required around peak floral holidays.
