There’s a full-time spot open on a certified organic dairy farm just 15 minutes outside Levin, and it’s ideal if you like hands-on, outdoor work. You’ll be part of a small but skilled team at Tasman Organics, helping with all sorts of farm tasks milking, calving, feeding, spraying, fencing, and more. This is a fixed-term job running through to January 2026. You’ll be trained on the job and encouraged to build your skills as you go. During the busy season (like spring), expect a bit more work, but it’s a fair setup with a supportive team.

About Pamu Farms

Pamu Farms of New Zealand (also known as Landcorp Farming Limited) is a big name in sustainable and innovative farming. Tasman Organics is one of their certified organic farms 155 hectares and about 330 cows, using a 30-aside herringbone milking shed. The farm team is focused on animal welfare, working sustainably, and keeping things running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Milking cows and assisting with calving.
  • Feeding stock and monitoring animal health.
  • Helping with spraying and effluent management.
  • Basic fencing and farm maintenance.
  • Keeping the work area clean and safe.
  • Supporting the team and following farm plans.
  • Stepping up during busy seasons when needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • No formal qualifications required.
  • Previous dairy farming or agricultural experience preferred.
  • Organic farming experience is a bonus.
  • Willingness to learn and work outdoors is key.

Skills

  • Able to follow instructions and take initiative.
  • Good communication both with the team and farm leadership.
  • Physically capable of handling farm work.
  • Positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
  • Safe working habits and care for animals.
  • Full or restricted New Zealand driver’s licence required.
