Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the daily cleanliness and order of all church areas, including sanitizing restrooms, mopping and sweeping floors, and cleaning windows and glass surfaces.
• Perform specific sacred space upkeep, including draining, cleaning, and sanitizing the Baptismal Font.
• Follow a routine cleaning schedule to ensure all interior spaces are consistently welcoming and hygienic.
• Set up and rearrange rooms for worship services, meetings, and special events as directed.
• Empty all trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal throughout the building.
• Restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed.
• Promptly report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Facilities Director.
• Assist with seasonal deep cleaning projects and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Who We Are Looking For:

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to work independently, follow schedules, and maintain a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with staff and volunteers in a religious environment.
• A positive, respectful attitude and an understanding of the importance of the church facility.
• Physical ability to bend, lift, and move objects up to 25 pounds, and to stand/walk for extended periods.
