Construction Worker Wanted In Singapore

We are one of Singapore’s largest one-stop Underground Utilities Infrastructure companies, and we are hiring across five critical roles: General Worker – General Worker cum Driver, Welder, Registered Excavator Operator (REO) – REO cum Driver, Workshop Electrician, and Workshop Mechanic. Each role requires a minimum of three years of relevant construction experience in Singapore, with specific certifications required for welding, excavator operation, electrician work, and driving. We are a leading Underground Utilities Infrastructure company based in Singapore, providing comprehensive services including underground utilities construction and maintenance, sewer pipeline rehabilitation, road and airfield construction and maintenance, asphalt pre-mix production, and construction waste recycling. Our projects span the island, from deep tunnel sewerage systems to roadworks and plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. General Worker – General Worker cum Driver

• Perform general work in the Operations Department, with preferred experience in piping, roadwork, cable laying, tunnelling, plant work, cement plaster work, and steel reinforcement work.
• Control nearby traffic by erecting traffic signals, signs, and barriers, and diverting traffic using hand signals when required.
• Maintain proper housekeeping to ensure the workplace is safe, clean, and organized at all times.
• Perform preventative and regular maintenance on tools and equipment, reporting any defects or malfunctions.
• Attend to other ad-hoc duties as instructed by the immediate superior.
• Cum Driver Role: Must possess a valid Class 3 driving license and perform driving duties as assigned.

2. Welder

• Perform welding for piping, tunnelling, pipe jacking, and big & small water pipe applications, including work in confined spaces.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications, drawings, and welding procedure specifications.
• Qualify welding procedures to cover all project requirements in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Support the qualification of welders to fulfill project requirements and maintain certification records.
• Preferred: Hold a 6G welding certificate.
• Attend to other ad-hoc duties as instructed by the immediate superior.

3. Registered Excavator Operator (REO) – REO cum Driver

• Operate registered excavators safely and efficiently for piping, roadwork, cable laying, tunnelling, plant work, cement plaster work, and steel reinforcement work.
• Provide support to the successful completion of construction and engineering work, including excavation, backfilling, and material handling.
• Handle and move tools and materials as required on site.
• Operate equipment in the correct direction and angles to prevent accidents and damage to property, underground services, and surrounding structures.
• Ensure the machine is managed in a safe and secure way at all times.
• Perform periodical safety checks, maintenance, and servicing to ensure proper functioning of the machine.
• Required to test skill on site as part of the selection process.
• Cum Driver Role: Must possess a valid Class 3 driving license and perform driving duties as assigned.
• Must hold a valid REO license.

4. Workshop Electrician

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for vehicle workshop operations, including on-site cable joining and generator electrical fault diagnosis.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and machinery drawings.
• Preferred experience in piping, tunnelling, pipe jacking, and big & small water pipe projects.
• Hold certification in electrician works.
• Attend to other ad-hoc duties as instructed by the immediate superior.

5. Workshop Mechanic

• Service and repair all types of petrol, diesel, and alternative fuel powered vehicles, including general repairs, major overhauls, and replacement of engines and gearboxes as required.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair works using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
• Attend to vehicle breakdowns and conduct roadside repairs when necessary.
• Perform quality control checks on vehicles to ensure consistent and satisfactory performance.
• Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks on vehicles and workshop equipment.
• Attend to other ad-hoc duties as instructed by the immediate superior.

Qualifications

General Requirements (All Roles):

• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in the Singapore construction industry.
• Primary school, secondary school, or O Level education.
• 5.5-day work week availability.

• More than 3 years of construction experience in Singapore.
• Preferred experience in piping, roadwork, cable, tunnelling, plant work, cement plaster work, steel reinforcement work.
• Cum Driver Role: Valid Class 3 driving license is mandatory.

2. Welder

• More than 3 years of construction experience in Singapore.
• Preferred experience in piping, tunnelling, pipe jacking, big and small water pipe welding, and confined space work.
• Must have certified welding qualification.
• 6G welding certificate is strongly preferred.
• Ability to qualify welding procedures and support welder qualification in accordance with codes and standards.

3. Registered Excavator Operator (REO) – REO cum Driver

• More than 3 years of construction experience in Singapore.
• Preferred experience in piping, roadwork, cable, tunnelling, plant work, cement plaster work, steel reinforcement work.
• Must hold a valid REO license.
• Required to test skill on site.
• Cum Driver Role: Valid Class 3 driving license is mandatory.

4. Workshop Electrician

• More than 3 years of construction experience in Singapore.
• Preferred experience in vehicle workshop, piping, tunnelling, pipe jacking, big & small water pipe.
• Certification in electrician works is mandatory.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics, and machinery drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults, perform cable joining on site, and diagnose generator electrical faults.

5. Workshop Mechanic

• More than 3 years of construction experience in Singapore.
• Proven experience servicing and repairing petrol, diesel, and alternative fuel vehicles, including major overhauls and engine/gearbox replacement.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting and repair using diagnostic equipment.
• Willingness to attend vehicle breakdowns and perform roadside repairs.
• Ability to perform daily safety and maintenance checks and quality control inspections.
