Key Responsibilities
As a Demolition Labourer, you will be on the front line of our site operations. Your core duties will involve:
- Safely and effectively assisting with a range of demolition works under the guidance of site supervisors.
- Operating hand tools and powered equipment, including jackhammers, with competence and confidence.
- Maintaining a clean and organized worksite by clearing debris, handling materials, and loading waste for disposal.
- Strictly adhering to all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, site-specific rules, and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Working collaboratively with the team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Qualifications
This role requires specific experience and a commitment to safety. The successful candidate must have:
- Proven, hands-on experience working on demolition projects.
- Demonstrated competence and confidence in operating jackhammers and other demolition hand tools.
- A strong understanding of construction site safety and experience working with Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- The ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent physical fitness and the capability to perform demanding manual labour tasks throughout the day.
- Your own full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including a hard hat, hi-vis clothing, steel-capped safety boots, gloves, and eye and hearing protection.
