Key Responsibilities

You will play a key role in maintaining a healthy and homely environment for our residents. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Performing thorough cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, and all communal areas to the highest hygiene standards.
• Following strict infection control measures and using appropriate cleaning products to ensure a safe environment.
• Assisting with the full laundry process: sorting, washing (using correct machine cycles), drying, and carefully folding residents’ personal clothing and facility linens.
• Ensuring all laundry is returned to residents promptly and with respect for their personal belongings.
• Restocking essential supplies such as paper products, personal protective equipment (PPE), and hygiene items throughout the facility.
• Diligently completing and signing off all required daily task lists and checklists as per facility policy.
• Working cooperatively with the care team to support the overall comfort and wellbeing of residents.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a great attitude and a caring spirit. The ideal candidate will have:

• A warm, friendly personality with excellent people skills and a consistently positive attitude.
• A strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and the ability to work effectively without constant supervision.
• Great attention to detail and an organised approach to completing daily tasks.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning and laundry duties, which involve bending, lifting, and being on your feet.
• While experience in a similar healthcare or aged care role is preferred, it is not essential. We provide full training.
• Please note: This is a casual position, and Radius Care cannot support a work visa or visa change for this role. Applicants must have existing eligibility to work in New Zealand.
