Versatile Civil Construction Company is currently seeking experienced Plant Operators and General Labourers to join our growing team. This role offers a FIFO roster across the Northern Territory (NT) and opportunities to work on civil construction projects throughout South Australia (SA). Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, graders, rollers, loaders, water trucks, and articulated dump trucks.
- Conduct daily pre-start checks, basic maintenance, and equipment adjustments.
- Support civil construction activities such as site preparation and earthworks.
- Carry out general labouring tasks to support the site team.
- Follow mine site safety protocols, permits, and environmental procedures.
- Work collaboratively to ensure efficient and safe project delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
Required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating civil construction equipment.
- Valid plant operator tickets-licences (e.g., excavator, roller, grader, watercart/ADT).
- Heavy Vehicle Licence (HC preferred).
- White Card (Construction Induction).
- Strong mechanical understanding and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work in remote locations on a FIFO roster.
Preferred but not essential
- Work Zone Traffic Management ticket.
- Additional plant tickets (particularly grader).
- Previous experience in mining or large-scale civil projects.
The Roster And Travel
- 2 weeks on – 1 week off FIFO roster for NT operations.
- Direct flights available from Brisbane, Darwin, Perth, and Alice Springs (you must be able to travel to these hubs).

Salary and Benefits
- Competitive pay range of $90,000 – $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
