Responsibilities
- Carry out framing, fixing, and other carpentry tasks on new and renovation sites.
- Read and follow drawings and specifications for each job.
- Work on floors, roofing, cabinetry, and other detailed finishing tasks.
- Use tools safely and look after site gear.
- Help keep worksites clean and follow all safety rules.
- Communicate well with the site team, foremen, and apprentices.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education
Must hold a recognised trade qualification in Carpentry.
Experience
At least 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in carpentry work is needed.
Skills
- Knows how to frame and finish to spec
- Confident with saws, drills, levels, and hand tools
- Follows instructions clearly and asks when unsure
- Works well both solo and in a team
- Pays attention to details and job quality
- Can manage workload with minimal supervision
Knowledge
- Familiar with WA construction rules and job site expectations
