Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be learning by doing, with guidance every step of the way. Your core duties will include:
- Working alongside our lead carpenters to assist with a range of construction tasks, from framing walls and roofing to installing doors, windows, and cabinetry.
- Gaining practical, on-the-job skills through direct training and mentorship, developing the techniques that form the backbone of quality carpentry.
- Learning how to read and accurately interpret construction plans and specifications, turning blueprints into built reality.
- Helping to maintain a safe, organised, and tidy worksite at all times, ensuring tools and materials are handled and stored correctly.
- Supporting the team with material handling, measurements, cuts, and preparation, building your confidence with essential tools and processes.

- The initiative to begin purchasing your own basic hand tools as your apprenticeship progresses (we’ll provide guidance on what you need).
A manual driver’s licence is highly regarded but not essential to apply.
