Responsibilities

• Help seniors with everyday tasks to stay in their homes.
• Support with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with walking, moving, or light stretching.
• Cook meals, plan menus, and help with eating if needed.
• Tidy up, do laundry, and run errands.
• Spend time chatting and give families a break.
• Drive clients to doctor visits or events with your car.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or Health Care Aide (HCA) certification.

Experience

Past caregiving or senior care experience is a bonus, not a must.

Skills

• Love for helping people live better.
• Good at chatting and building trust.
• Able to safely assist with personal care and movement.
• Dependable, punctual, and kind.
• Okay with basic chores and cooking.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and a reliable car.

Knowledge

• Basic understanding of what seniors need.
• Some knowledge of Alzheimer’s or dementia care is nice.
• Familiar with keeping things safe and clean in home care.

This job is onsite, covering North Edmonton, St. Albert, Fort Saskatchewan, and nearby areas. You must live in or move to the Edmonton area and travel within the service region.
