 Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our butchery team, you will have a hands-on role in preparing and presenting our products. Your key duties will include:

• Ensuring all meat is correctly and attractively trayed, wrapped, and labelled for display and sale.
• Providing excellent, helpful service to customers, answering their questions, and assisting with their selections.
• Maintaining high merchandising standards in the cabinet and on shelves at all times.
• Following all Food Safety and Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures meticulously.
• Working collaboratively as a positive, respectful, and effective team member.
• Performing regular heavy lifting of items up to 15kg as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the right attitude and physical capability for this active role. You will need:

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfort working in the chilled conditions of a butchery or meat department.
• Physical fitness and the ability to safely lift up to 15kg regularly.
• A reliable, enthusiastic nature and a genuine passion for food and service.
• A great team-player mentality with a flexible and positive attitude.
• Availability to work weekends and flexible hours as part of a full-time roster.
• Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
