Key Responsibilities
As a Baker with our team, you will be hands-on in delivering a superior bakery offering. Your key duties will include:
- Preparing and baking a wide variety of items, including dough, specialty breads, muffins, cakes, and other bakery goods to our high-quality standards.
- Presenting and merchandising the bakery department to an excellent standard, ensuring products are attractively displayed and well-stocked.
- Providing exceptional customer service by being engaging, helpful, and knowledgeable about our products.
- Assisting with all operational aspects of the bakery, including packaging, labelling, and general preparation tasks.
- Maintaining clean, tidy, and safe work areas at all times.
- Upholding a strong commitment to our Health & Safety and Food Safety policies and procedures.
- Working collaboratively with the team to meet department objectives and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications
We are looking for a qualified individual with the right attitude and experience. The ideal candidate will be:
- An experienced Baker with a proven track record in a commercial or retail bakery setting.
- Passionate about the art of baking and genuinely focused on delivering outstanding quality in every product.
- An excellent communicator with a positive, engaging attitude who fosters teamwork and builds strong relationships.
- Customer service focused and willing to go the extra mile for our shoppers.
- A proactive learner, able to work independently and adapt to new skills and processes.
- Eligible to work in New Zealand, holding citizenship, residency, or a valid work permit.
- Available for full-time hours, including weekend work as required.
