Key Responsibilities

As a Stores Assistant, you will play a critical role in the efficient operation of our depot. Your duties will be diverse and hands-on, including:

  • Managing inventory by maintaining stock levels, conducting regular checks, and ensuring products are stored safely and accurately.
  • Fulfilling internal orders by picking, packing, and preparing items for dispatch or collection.
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, assisting with product enquiries and order processing.
  • Operating a range of equipment, including forklifts (Class LF), front-end loaders (Class LL), and telescopic materials handlers.
  • Assisting with depot maintenance, repairs, security procedures, and the upkeep of external grounds.
  • Performing administrative tasks and assisting with fleet hire arrangements.

Qualifications

This role requires specific licences and a proactive approach. You will need:

  • Mandatory Licences and Tickets:
  • A General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
  • A National Certificate of Competency for Forklift (Class LF).
  • A Front End Loader Certificate (Class LL).
  • A Certificate for Conduct Telescopic Materials Handler Operations (RIIHAN309F).
  • Desirable: A current AQF Chemical Safety Certificate.
  • Strong organisational skills, excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
