Responsibilities And Role
- Perform standardized tests on construction materials including concrete (casting, curing, compression testing), steel rebar (tensile strength), asphalt, aggregates, soil, tiles, bricks, stone, and glass.
- Receive, handle, and prepare test specimens with precision and care.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments according to strict procedures.
- Accurately record test data and assist in preparing technical reports to ensure timely and precise deliverables.
- Conduct on-site field testing, transporting and operating equipment at client project locations.
- Interface professionally with clients during witness tests, explaining procedures and documenting the process.
- Adhere to all ISO 17025 quality standards and laboratory safety protocols.
- Participate in required training to obtain certifications (e.g., overhead crane operation, forklift, specific TAF accredited test items).
Qualifications
Your Profile:
- Educational background in a relevant field (e.g., Civil Engineering, Construction, Materials Science, Chemistry) from a high school, college, or university. Fresh graduates are welcome; no prior experience is required as full training will be provided.
- A strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and attention to detail.
- Good physical fitness for handling samples and operating equipment (may involve pushing carts and manual handling).
- Willingness and ability to work overtime and participate in weekend/holiday rotations as required by project needs.
- A proactive learner with a positive attitude towards acquiring new technical skills and professional certifications.
