Key Responsibilities

As the face of VIA Rail on board our trains, you will play a central role in the passenger experience. Your mission will include:

• Providing a warm, professional welcome and offering attentive assistance to travelers throughout their journey.
• Ensuring passenger comfort and safety, including assisting with luggage and providing clear safety briefings.
• Delivering onboard service with a smile, including the preparation and service of meals and beverages.
• Maintaining cleanliness and order in your assigned work areas, including passenger cabins and restrooms.
• Adapting to the unique needs of each trip and every passenger, ensuring no detail is overlooked.

Qualifications

To thrive in this unique and rewarding role, you will need:

• A high school diploma and a minimum of one year of customer service experience.
• Clear verbal communication skills in both English and French.
• Full flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends, holidays, and being on-call.
• The ability to be away from home for 2-3 days at a time as part of the travel schedule.
• The physical capability to safely handle luggage weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• A positive, professional attitude and a genuine passion for serving people.
