Key Responsibilities
As the face of VIA Rail on board our trains, you will play a central role in the passenger experience. Your mission will include:
- Providing a warm, professional welcome and offering attentive assistance to travelers throughout their journey.
- Ensuring passenger comfort and safety, including assisting with luggage and providing clear safety briefings.
- Delivering onboard service with a smile, including the preparation and service of meals and beverages.
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in your assigned work areas, including passenger cabins and restrooms.
- Adapting to the unique needs of each trip and every passenger, ensuring no detail is overlooked.
Qualifications
To thrive in this unique and rewarding role, you will need:
- A high school diploma and a minimum of one year of customer service experience.
- Clear verbal communication skills in both English and French.
- Full flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends, holidays, and being on-call.
- The ability to be away from home for 2-3 days at a time as part of the travel schedule.
- The physical capability to safely handle luggage weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- A positive, professional attitude and a genuine passion for serving people.
