Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the daily execution of our culinary program, focusing on quality and care. Your key duties will include:

  • Preparing all meals according to established recipes and menus, ensuring they are nutritious, flavorful, and visually appealing.
  • Assisting in menu planning to accommodate resident preferences and specific dietary needs (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium, pureed).
  • Setting up the kitchen, prepping ingredients for daily service and the following day, and maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace in compliance with all health codes.
  • Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment, ensuring proper temperatures are held for food safety.
  • Providing support in the dining room as needed, which may include taking orders, refilling drinks, and assisting with room resetting between meals.
  • Upholding the highest standards of resident confidentiality, professionalism, and a positive customer service environment.

Qualifications

We are seeking a cook who combines skill with empathy:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; culinary training is preferred.
  • Proven cooking and baking skills with experience in volume food preparation.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic and restricted diets is highly advantageous.

  • The ability to read, comprehend, and follow recipes and procedures independently.
