 Key Responsibilities
As a Baker at Fergbaker, you will be at the heart of our scratch-based production. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Hands-on creation of all our breads from scratch, delivering consistently exceptional quality in every product.
- Performing all stages of the baking process with meticulous attention to detail: kneading, moulding, mixing, shaping dough, and managing proofing times.
- Safely operating ovens and bakery machinery to achieve perfect results.
- Checking the quality of all raw materials and weighing ingredients with precision.
- Following recipes and procedures accurately to maintain our renowned high standards that customers expect from around the world.
- Working efficiently and positively within a close-knit, fast-paced kitchen team.
- Maintaining an impeccably clean and organised kitchen workspace.
Qualifications
This role requires proven expertise and a passion for the craft. The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of three years of professional experience working as a Baker in a commercial bakery.
- A full-time commitment, available to work 40 to 45 hours per week.
- The right to work in New Zealand. Visa Job Tokens are available for the right candidate if required.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to thrive in a vibrant, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment.
- A collaborative spirit and a positive attitude that contributes to our fun and diverse team culture.
