This is a hands-on, Monday-to-Friday role where your expertise will be essential in mixing, monitoring, and mastering our production lines.  Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our operations. Your core duties will involve:

  • Applying your deep understanding of baking ingredients to expertly adjust batches on the fly, guaranteeing the perfect texture, flavor, and consistency in every product.
  • Taking ownership of our production machinery, learning its intricacies to optimize performance, minimize downtime, and ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently throughout your shift.
  • Vigilantly adhering to all food safety protocols and company quality policies, making sure our standards for hygiene and product excellence are never compromised.
  • Actively contributing to our team culture by sharing your knowledge, troubleshooting issues collaboratively, and helping to lift overall team performance.
  • Meeting daily production targets within our busy factory environment, managing your time and workflow effectively to keep pace with demand.
  • Conducting regular checks and minor maintenance on equipment, demonstrating a proactive approach to preventing interruptions before they happen.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who combines experience with a genuine enthusiasm for baking. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • A solid background of at least 3 years in a plant-based or high-volume baking environment is essential.
  • A strong, practical understanding of workplace health and safety, proven through your day-to-day actions in previous roles.
  • Relevant Food Safety and Quality certificates are highly regarded, as is any formal Health and Safety certification.
  • A real passion for the baking craft, coupled with a willing attitude to keep learning and developing your skills with our specific processes.
  • Excellent teamwork skills you’re someone who communicates well, supports colleagues, and thrives in a collaborative setting.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills, necessary for accurately following recipes, recording data, and managing batch calculations.
  • A consistently positive, professional attitude and a strong work ethic that your teammates can rely on.
