Key Responsibilities

Create opportunities for authentic student voice in shaping school culture and decision-making.

  • Mentor Student Government, class officers, and student organizations to ensure initiatives reflect values of kindness, respect, responsibility, honesty, and courage.
  • Coordinate student leadership training and retreats focused on ethical leadership, communication, and collaboration.
  • Partner with divisional leaders to align student leadership efforts with DEIB, service, and social-impact goals.

Belonging, Community, and School Spirit

  • Lead initiatives that foster a sense of belonging and school spirit across grade levels.
  • Design community-building experiences, class traditions, and celebrations that strengthen collective identity.
  • Maintain a visible, approachable presence in school life to nurture an inclusive and welcoming environment.
  • Collaborate with Class Deans and communications staff to celebrate student achievements and enhance community engagement.

Advisory and Social-Emotional Learning

  • Oversee the Upper School advisory program in collaboration with counselors and wellbeing committees.
  • Ensure advisory sessions and assemblies address well-being, social-emotional growth, digital citizenship, and community engagement.
  • Provide guidance, professional learning, and resources to advisors to strengthen mentoring relationships.
  • Analyze student feedback to continually refine advisory and well-being programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Counseling, or related field preferred.
• Minimum five years of teaching, counseling, or student life experience in a secondary school setting.
• Proven experience designing programs that enhance student engagement, leadership, and well-being.
• Deep understanding of adolescent development, advisory systems, and social-emotional learning.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills; experience supervising teams or initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
• Experience in an international or multicultural educational environment preferred.
