The Forrest Hotel in Forrest ACT 2603 is looking for a Laundry Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. What You’ll Be Doing

Collecting and sorting soiled linens: You’ll gather used towels, sheets, and other linens from guest rooms and hotel areas, sorting them for washing.
Loading and operating commercial laundry equipment: You’ll run washers, dryers, and folding machines, making sure everything is handled properly.
Folding and storing linens: Once clean, you’ll fold everything neatly and store it in the right areas so it’s ready to use.
Assisting with distribution: You’ll help get clean linens back to guest rooms and other hotel areas as needed.
Maintaining cleanliness in the laundry: You’ll keep the laundry facilities organised and spotless throughout your shift.
Reporting issues: If equipment isn’t working right or supplies are running low, you’ll let the Housekeeping Supervisor know so it can be addressed quickly.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or commercial laundry environment. You know how things work and what’s expected.
Strong attention to detail. Linens need to be clean, folded properly, and stored correctly every time.
Good physical fitness and stamina. This is an active role you’ll be on your feet, lifting, sorting, and moving throughout your shift.
Excellent time management skills. Laundry needs to keep moving, especially on busy days.
Ability to work well under pressure. When the hotel is full, the laundry doesn’t stop.
A positive attitude and commitment to quality. You take pride in doing the job right.
