About the Role
As a Grader Operator at Camex Civil, you will play a key role in delivering local body infrastructure, commercial construction, and subdivision projects across the Bay of Plenty. You’ll operate graders and other heavy machinery (5T–20T) to move, excavate, shape, and compact materials, with a primary focus on unsealed road maintenance and grader operations. You’ll work closely with site crews to ensure safe and efficient operations, particularly around other machinery, structures, and services.

Hours:
- Minimum 30 hours per week, up to 50 hours (Monday to Friday)
- Saturday work is available but optional
Remuneration:Â Competitive pay packages based on skills and experience
Key Responsibilities
- Operate graders and other heavy machinery (5T–20T) to move, excavate, shape, and compact materials.
- Focus primarily on unsealed road maintenance and grader operations.
- Carry out daily pre-start checks and minor machine maintenance.
- Work closely with site crews to ensure safe and efficient operations, especially around other machinery, structures, and underground services.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship at all times.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver projects on time and to the highest standards.
What You Will Bring
- A reliable, solution-focused attitude.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating graders and other civil machinery.
- Experience in pavement maintenance.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Good physical fitness for a hands-on role.
- GPS experience is preferred but not essential.
- Full Class 1 Driver’s License.
- Class 2 or higher and WTR endorsements are an advantage.
