About the Company

Growy Group is a leading indoor vertical farming company with headquarters in Amsterdam and operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Singapore. As a technology pioneer, Growy specializes in designing and operating advanced indoor vertical farms that are highly efficient and sustainable. By growing safe, clean, and fresh produce locally in controlled environments, Growy is enabling people around the world to have access to healthy, nutritious, and delicious salads, herbs, and microgreens. Our Singapore operation reflects that global commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability. If you believe in that mission and want to be part of a high-tech team making it happen, you’re in the right place.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Follow Growing Procedures: You’ll work from standard operating procedures to ensure crops are grown and harvested exactly as they should be, following strict food safety protocols every step of the way.
  • Operate Equipment and Systems: Get comfortable with the equipment that keeps our production line running preparing machines, monitoring operation, and stepping in when adjustments are needed.
  • Work with Proprietary Software: You’ll use our internal software to translate and execute seeding and harvesting schedules, making sure everything happens at the right time.
  • Keep Surfaces Clean and Sanitised: Before any harvest, you’ll ensure all food contact surfaces tables, conveyors, packing stations, scales—are properly cleaned and ready for use.
  • Perform Quality Checks: Before, during, and after daily operations, you’ll check equipment and plants to make sure growing conditions are optimised and everything is running as programmed.
  • Clean and Maintain Equipment: Daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of tools, machinery, and operational equipment is part of the routine. It keeps everything running smoothly and minimises downtime.
  • Handle Manual Seeding and Harvesting: Some fragile crops, trial varieties, and on-demand products need a human touch. You’ll handle those carefully and precisely.
  • Prepare Nutrient Solutions: You’ll help mix and prepare the concentrated nutrient solutions that feed our plants, ensuring they get exactly what they need.
  • Inspect for Issues: Keep an eye out for abnormalities crop disorders, diseases, or signs that something isn’t right and report them to the horticultural team.
  • Spot Machinery Problems: If equipment isn’t behaving as it should, or if you notice a hazard during daily use, you’ll flag it to the engineering team right away.
  • Record Data Accurately: Make sure daily yields are recorded properly by the system, and handle manual logging when needed. Data matters here.
  • Support Trials and Experiments: Help the horticultural team manage experimental trials by documenting data and taking photos as required.
  • Inspect After Harvest: Check sorted and packed produce to ensure it meets our quality and food safety standards before it goes anywhere.
  • Assemble Orders: Put together finished goods to fulfil customer orders accurately.
  • Keep the Facility Clean: General cleaning and proper waste disposal are part of maintaining food safety and workplace standards.
  • Work in Different Environments: You’ll move between clean rooms (with full jumpsuits and PPE) and warehouse areas, so adaptability is key.
  • Help with Receiving and Inventory: Assist with material receiving, inspection, warehouse organisation, and inventory management as needed.
  • Follow Safety Protocols Always: Your safety and the safety of those around you comes first. You’ll adhere to all personnel safety protocols without exception.

What You’ll Need

  • Food Manufacturing Experience Welcome but Not Required: If you’ve worked in food manufacturing before, that’s an advantage. But if you’re new and keen to learn, we’ll train you.
  • Physically Fit: This role involves lifting up to 15 kg and standing for the duration of your shift. You need to be comfortable with that.
  • High Sense of Responsibility: Food safety isn’t optional. You’ll follow prescribed practices carefully every time, no shortcuts.
  • Team Player with Positive Attitude: You’ll work closely with others, so being a good team player who’s keen to learn and get hands-on is essential.
  • Not Afraid to Speak Up: If you see a way to improve productivity or notice an issue, we want you to highlight it. Your observations matter.
  • Machinery Experience a Plus: Prior experience operating machinery or automated systems is helpful. A forklift licence would be an extra bonus.
  • Basic Food Safety Knowledge: You might not know much yet—on-the-job training will cover it—but any existing knowledge is welcome.
  • Health and Safety Training Beneficial: Previous workplace health and safety or first aid training is a plus.
  • Good English Communication Skills: You need to be able to understand instructions and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

What We Offer

  • Group Medical Insurance: We’ve got you covered with medical insurance as part of your benefits package.
  • Fresh Produce and More: Enjoy free fresh salads, herbs, greens, coffee, drinks, and snacks while you’re at work.
  • High-End Work Environment: You’ll be working in a modern, well-equipped facility with quality hardware and a range of software tools to make your daily tasks easier.
  • A competitive hourly wage of $16.
  • Be Part of Something Bigger: Join a global leader in indoor vertical farming and contribute to a more sustainable future for food production.
