Key Responsibilities
- Analyse patient symptoms and underlying causes of illness using TCM diagnostic methods and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribe concentrated herbal powders and raw herbal decoctions independently, providing comprehensive treatment based on individual patient conditions.
- Perform TCM treatments including acupuncture, tuina, gua sha, and cupping as appropriate for each patient’s needs.
- Educate patients on TCM principles and provide wellness recommendations including dietary guidance and lifestyle modifications to support long term health.
- Address patient questions and concerns regarding TCM treatments and herbal prescriptions with clear and professional communication.
- Collaborate effectively with other physicians, therapists, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records including treatment plans, prescriptions, and progress notes.
- Contribute to the establishment and growth of the Malaysia practice as part of the international expansion team.
Qualifications
A diploma or degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from an accredited institution is required. Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensing as a TCM physician. Experience in TCM clinical practice is essential. Strong knowledge of both concentrated herbal powders and raw herbal decoctions is required. Proficiency in acupuncture, tuina, gua sha, cupping, and other TCM treatment modalities is essential. Excellent communication skills in Mandarin are required for patient interactions; English or Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is an advantage for the Malaysia market. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. A passion for TCM and a commitment to providing high quality patient care are essential.
