What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering cleaning services across the facility:Â You’ll clean both front-of-house areas (resident spaces, common areas) and back-of-house areas (staff areas, utility spaces) according to Goodwin’s standards.
- Using chemicals safely and effectively:Â You’ll have a solid understanding of cleaning chemicals and how to apply them properly for different surfaces and situations.
- Working independently:Â You’ll have areas of responsibility where you’re trusted to get the job done without someone looking over your shoulder.
- Communicating with stakeholders:Â You’ll interact with residents, families, and other staff members in a professional, respectful way.
- Contributing to resident wellbeing:Â The work you do directly affects the quality of life for residents. A clean, fresh environment makes a real difference.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in delivering cleaning services in private and public areas. You know how to clean properly and efficiently.
- Understanding of the use and application of chemicals. You know which products to use where, and you follow safety guidelines.
- Experience achieving outcomes and developing skills. You’re someone who gets things done and wants to keep improving.
- Ability to work with limited supervision. You’re reliable and can be trusted to handle your responsibilities independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills. You can communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- A commitment to dignity and respect. Working in aged care means treating every resident with the care they deserve.
