We’re currently looking for a Machine Operator to join our team in a unionized manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role operating automatic or multi-purpose machines to produce metal parts and products. If you have 1 to 2 years of experience, you’re comfortable with shift and night work, and you’re authorized to work in Canada, this could be a solid fit. The work environment can be noisy, dusty, and hot at times, but we provide the training and support to do the job safely. We’re after someone dependable, organized, and ready to be part of a team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operating machines: You’ll run or tend automatic or multi-purpose equipment to produce metal parts and products according to specifications.
  • Cleaning and maintaining: You’ll keep your work area clean, lubricate machinery, and ensure equipment is in good working order.
  • Fitting and assembling components: You’ll use hand and power tools to fit and assemble parts as needed.
  • Adjusting machinery: You’ll set up equipment to proper settings before and during production runs.
  • Operating industrial lift trucks and forklifts: When required, you’ll move materials and products using heavy equipment.
  • Maintaining a safe environment: You’ll follow all safety protocols and keep the workspace clean and hazard-free.
  • Handling repetitive tasks: The work involves repetition, so you’ll need to stay focused and maintain quality throughout your shift.
  • Managing physical demands: You’ll handle heavy loads, stay on your feet, and use manual dexterity throughout the day.

What You’ll Need

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing or machine operating role.
  • Authorization to work in Canada this is a screening question.
  • Comfort working in noisy, dusty, and hot environments personal protective equipment we will provide.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to handle heavy loads and stay active throughout your shift.
  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Comfort with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking during shifts.
