Dump Truck Driver Need In Taiwan – Visa Sponsorship Available

We are seeking an experienced Dump Truck Driver to transport materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, and bituminous paving materials. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience, a valid Commercial Driver’s License, and a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate. You will handle pre-trip inspections, safe vehicle operation, tarping loads, post-trip inspections, and some manual labor including shoveling. If you have a professional attitude, defensive driving skills, and the ability to work long hours (10-15 hours per day) in various weather conditions, we want to hear from you. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring adherence to all company, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Trip Inspection

Perform pre-trip inspection to ensure vehicle is safe to operate.
Check tires, headlights, marker lights, stop lights, and turn signals.
Check engine oil, power steering fluid, coolant level, fan belts, and windshield wipers.

Operation of Vehicle

Operate vehicle safely and professionally regardless of location, speed limit, and traffic.
Obey State and Federal trucking laws.
Exhibit “defensive” driving skills at all times.
Obey weight limits when loading truck.
Keep floorboards, stepping areas, and hand holds free of obstructions.
Operate controls for tarping load and strapping tarp; tarp all loads.
Operate bed controls for raising/lowering of dump bed.
Operate controls for raising and lowering of third axle.
Hook and adjust tailgate spreader chains for tailgating material.
Manually clean tailgate and apron after unloading using scraper and/or shovel.
Keep inside of bed clean of material buildup.
Use lower gears when starting vehicle in motion; double clutch when changing gears.
Monitor dash gauges (Oil, Temperature, Air, Tachometer, Speedometer, Amperage, Pyrometer).
Monitor conditions to sides and rear via mirrors.
Constantly monitor company radio for dispatch and assignment changes.
Submit daily logs complying with Company, State, and Federal Regulations.
Complete and submit daily truck report.

Post-Trip Inspection

Inspect vehicle for defects and notify management on Driver Daily Report.
Do not drive vehicle with known defect that could cause injury or property damage.

Manual Labor

Perform manual labor including digging materials from bed and assisting crews with shoveling and general labor.

General Responsibilities

Adhere to all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards.
Answer directly to Trucking Manager, Superintendents, or Corporate Officers.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years truck driving experience required.
Must maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License.
Must possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with public, understand traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and complete reports.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Ability to get along with others and display a positive attitude.
Present a professional image.
Ability to maintain composure in stressful traffic situations.

Physical Demands:

Regularly sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
Frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, twist, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally stand and walk.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, adjust focus, and recognize traffic signal colors.

Work Environment:

Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and vibration.
Moderate noise level.
Occasional long hours: 10-12 hours average; up to 15 hours to complete projects.
