Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back of house spaces to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and setup fully comply with brand standards.
- Supervise the work progress of room attendants and public area cleaners, adjusting staffing levels and work priorities flexibly based on daily occupancy rates.
- Manage and inventory guest amenities, linens, and cleaning chemicals, ensuring adequate stock levels while maintaining compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
- Coordinate closely with the Front Office department regarding room status to ensure timely delivery and prioritize preparations for VIPs and guests with special requests.
- Record and follow up on maintenance issues, collaborating with the Engineering department to keep facilities in top condition and implement preventive maintenance plans.
- Resolve guest requests and complaints professionally, recording preferences in the guest management system to identify service improvements and deliver personalized experiences.
- Conduct orientation and on the job training for new team members, ensuring all staff are proficient in property management systems, cleaning equipment, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in managing and monitoring financial and operational plans including labor cost control and implementing environmental sustainability initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint.
Qualifications
A diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Candidates must have two to three years of housekeeping experience in an international luxury hotel, with prior supervisory or team lead experience highly valued. Strong attention to detail and quality control skills are essential, along with the ability to maintain service standards in a fast paced environment. Excellent communication and coordination skills are required to effectively manage team members and guest relations. Proficiency in Property Management Systems and basic office software is necessary. Candidates must have fluent Mandarin communication skills and functional English proficiency to interact with international guests. A team player mindset is essential, along with the ability to work flexible shifts including weekends, public holidays, and overnight shifts as required.
