Here is an opportunity to join a leading waste management and environmental services company with over 90 years of industry experience. JJs Waste and Recycling is seeking an enthusiastic Bin Maintenance – Yard Hand to join our team in Wiri, Auckland. This full-time position will see you playing a crucial role in maintaining our fleet of bins and managing our yard operations. The hourly rate is $25 to $30. If you have previous experience in a similar role, strong aptitude for basic repairs, and a commitment to safety, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Inspect, clean, and perform maintenance repairs on our commercial bins.
Assist with the organisation and upkeep of our yard, including organising bin storage and movement.
Provide excellent customer service to our customers.
Adhere to all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Support the wider operations team as required.
Maintain supplier relationships and stock for Auckland.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in a similar bin maintenance or yard operations role.
Strong aptitude and ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment.
Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional manner.
Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks.
A valid driver’s licence and your own reliable vehicle.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol testing.
